No homework

As it's a really short week, Senior Infants will not be getting homework this week.

Our final Aistear theme for the year is 'the airport'. If anybody has any toys, books or costumes appropriate for airport/ travel themed play could you please bring them in? It would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Homework 27th - 30th May

Reading: Graded Reader. Please sign once your child has completed the book, and can read it with ease.

Literacy: Read the short story 'Jack' from the story booklet and answer the reading comprehension questions using full sentences e.g. for the first question, instead of writing '5' as an answer, please write Jack is 5.

Handwriting: X, F, E capital letters

Maths sheet: Addition with missing addend. Use a numberline to help.

REMINDER:School tour is on the 14th of June. Please send in €13.50 when you get a chance. 

Homework and info on Biodiversity tour

On Thursday, all infant classes will be attending a workshop on Portmarnock beach as part of Biodiversity fortnight. This tour is free of charge. Can you please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather and beach, and wearing sunscreen if necessary. School lunches will be provided as normal, however if you'd like to pack some extra food we'll be having a picnic on the beach.

School tour

The Senior Infants' school tour will be on Friday 14th June.

We're going to Newbridge farm and the total cost of the trip is 13.50. We'll start taking money whenever you have it. Please put the money in an envelope with your child's name on it.

The children have two Maths worksheets and one 'Magic e' (with vowel a) Phonics worksheet to complete by Friday.

The children will receive their readers back tomorrow (Wednesday) for two nights of reading homework.
