Homework Week Beginning 30/09/2019

Hi everyone,

Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

This week's homework is as follows:

Tricky Words:
I noticed that a lot of children have written all the tricky words on this laminated sheet.
The reason it is laminated is because the children can practice writing and rewriting the tricky words each night, as much as they want.
Please only practice the next five words, which are some, said, here, there, they.
Remember the steps:
1. Look (say the word)
2. Copy (write the word while looking at the word)
3. Cover and Write (try write the word again without looking at it)
4. Have one more go at writing the word.

Handwriting:
Please complete page 10, 11 and 12 of our new handwriting books. Remember froggy fingers! Ask children to take their time and maybe split it up so they are doing one section each evening.

Reading:
New reader has been sent home if the reading record was signed and the book was in the folder. Please ensure to sign these once the children are finished as we cannot change their books until we get the go-ahead from you!

Sound Worksheet:
We are revising the 'th' sound so please complete this worksheet with the th sounds.

At School in Aistear

The children were in the 'Belmayne Schoo' for the last two weeks. I have heard a lot of different 'teachers' and 'students' in the role play area and I have even heard some conversations and sayings that would remind me of some teachers in our own school!☺

They completed lovely art and built their dream, such fantastic work and learning over the past fortnight!
We were also learning about 'long' and 'short' and we made chains that went all the way down the corridor - well done!
Take a look at how we got on...!

Additional OPTIONAL resources!

Hi guys! As we have now moved to a four day week and as school books are being completed, I wanted to provide some extra optional work for...
